On the Way Coffee Shop CIC is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Table requests: your name, email address, phone number, requested date and time, party size and any optional requests you provide.
- Buffet orders: contact, order and fulfilment details, together with a Stripe payment reference. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Enquiries: the contact details and information you choose to send us.
Optional accessibility information may reveal information about your health. Please only share what we need to arrange your visit. We use it only for that purpose.
Why we use it
We use your information to respond to you, check table availability, prepare and fulfil orders, take payment, handle changes or problems and meet our legal and accounting responsibilities. Our legal bases are taking steps at your request before providing a service, performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in running and improving the café, and legal obligations where they apply.
We do not use booking or order details for marketing unless you separately ask us to.
Who helps us provide the service
We share only what is needed with trusted providers, including Microsoft 365 for business email, Resend for transactional emails, Stripe for buffet payments and our website hosting and security providers. If you choose the Lightspeed order-ahead link, Lightspeed collects information under its own privacy terms.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards required by data-protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to manage your booking or order, respond to questions and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Routine enquiries are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Cookies and external services
This site uses essential hosting and security technology needed to operate safely. Links to Stripe and Lightspeed take you to services with their own privacy and cookie notices.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, to restrict how it is used, to object to its use or to transfer it. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
